"It's been a beautiful, amazing journey. She's taught us so much already," Brown said. "Perspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It's just endless joy."
Brown and Bongiovi, the son of musician Jon Bon Jovi, announced the adoption on August 21, revealing the happy news on Instagram. "This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy," they wrote. "And then there were three."
In her interview, Brown shared that she and Bongiovi share parenting duties equally. "We are 50-50 on everything. That's why I'm so grateful to have partnered with him in this life — he is just the most amazing dad," she said.
The Enola Holmes actress also spoke about her hopes for a big family, explaining that both she and Bongiovi come from families of four children. "I really want a big family. I don't see having your own child as any different from adopting," she said, emphasizing that love, not biology, defines family.
Since announcing their adoption, friends and fans have praised the young couple's maturity and warmth. A source told PEOPLE that Brown had long expressed a desire to become a mother while still young. "She's so young, but so focused. And she has the biggest heart. There's no doubt she's a great mom. Pretty much everything she sets her mind to, she crushes," the insider shared.
The source added that Brown and Bongiovi have created a peaceful home life together in Georgia. "She loves her farm — it's going to be such a special place for the baby to grow up," they said. "Even before they were married, she talked about wanting to be a young mom, and Jake was always on the same page. They're completely in it together."
