Michael J. Fox has formed new family relationships. Sam Fox, the actor's oldest kid with wife Tracy Pollan, married Molly Milstein in an intimate wedding in New York last month, according to the couple's Instagram post on November 6.
Molly posted a series of images from the event, captioned "A month before."
The bride wore a stunning white ensemble with a jacket and tiny skirt to the wedding, while Sam, 36, dressed in a dark suit. Molly and Sam are shown signing their marriage contract under a modest chuppah (a Jewish wedding canopy) held by their loved ones.
While Michael, whose Parkinson's disease diagnosis has advanced since 1991, was not featured in the images, Tracy, their twin daughters Aquinnah and Schuyler, both 30, and younger daughter Esmé, 24, were.
Sam has been planning his wedding for nearly a year, having proposed in February 2024. At the moment, he tweeted a snowy selfie with Molly's ring-adorned hand on his chest with the phrase "LFG!!"
Aside from his personal life, Sam has taken over his father's role in Hollywood as a film producer, working on films such as Good Grief and Dead Boy Detective.
Michael J. Fox, known for his role in Back to the Future, initially retired from acting in 2020, citing discomfort in performing. However, he is returning to the screen as a guest star in the third season of Apple's Shrinking, where he will portray a character whose experience resonates with his own battle with Parkinson's disease. Fox expressed in an April 2024 interview his willingness to act again if suitable opportunities arise that align with his personal experiences.
Harrison Ford, co-star of Shrinking, praised Fox’s contributions to the show, highlighting his courage, fortitude, and grace in portraying the challenges associated with Parkinson's. Ford described him as a smart and noble individual, whose presence serves as an inspiration to others facing similar health struggles. He emphasized the importance of Fox's representation of the disease, noting that it not only increases awareness but also instills hope for characters like Paul, showcasing that courage in facing life's challenges is attainable.
