Grace, Mark Wahlberg's daughter, is on the mend. The Ted actor provided an update on his and wife Rhea Durham's 15-year-old daughter more than a week after she was hospitalized for an arm injury sustained during an equestrian competition.
"She's doing good," Mark told E! News in an exclusive interview with Michelle Monaghan, her co-star in The Family Plan 2. "It was quite scary. She's quite brave. "She is tough."
"She just wants to literally get back on the horse," said the actor, who is also the father to Ella (22), Michael (19), and Brendan (17). "But it was very, very scary."
Grace, according to Mark, could not be more enthusiastic about the sport, despite the risks involved.
"Always nerve-wracking when she's jumping," he said, "especially as she goes up in height quite often."
But Grace, who has been riding horses professionally for years, will continue to pursue her love, as Mark underlined, "She's eager to get back."
Days before, Grace tweeted photos of herself riding and captioned them, "Tippy Z...looking forward to a big year."
Mark, on the other hand, is coming to the end of an eventful year. His next film, The Family Plan 2, a sequel to Apple TV+'s 2023 action-comedy, is expected to be released on November 21. Michelle, a returning performer, and Kit Harington, a franchise newbie, play Mark's character's brother in the next movie.
"He is fantastic. "Wonderful," the actor said of the Game of Thrones alumni. "In real life, I have always wanted to be a big brother. "I am the youngest of nine."
Speaking of his real-life family, Mark, who co-owns the Wahlburgers restaurant brand with brothers Donnie and Paul Wahlberg, is looking forward to spending meaningful time with them this Christmas season.
"We always go on a holiday; we are always kind of forced to stay together in close quarters, and we would eat breakfast together and lunch and spend the day, and then we have dinner. It's nice," he shared. "We love it because we're all together."
