Tara Reid was taken to a Chicago-area hospital after a troubling early-morning episode at a DoubleTree hotel, where she was seen slurring her words and later being wheeled out on a stretcher. The American Pie actress, 50, appeared visibly disoriented in video captured by an onlooker, prompting hotel staff to call for medical help at 12:39 a.m. on Nov. 23. Paramedics responded and transported her to a nearby hospital, with officials confirming only that the call involved a "sick person."

Footage from before the paramedics arrived shows multiple individuals attempting to guide Reid into a wheelchair as she looked around, confused, dazed, and struggling to speak clearly. At one point, a uniformed staff member tried to calm her, saying, "We're going to take you to your room, okay?" The tense moment came as two men disagreed over how to seat her safely.

Soon after, paramedics arrived, and three responders walked Reid—now on a stretcher—out of the lobby and into an ambulance. The onlooker who filmed the scene told TMZ that, before the ambulance arrived, Reid shouted, "You don't know who I am. I am famous. I'm an actress."

Later, Reid claimed she had been drugged. She told TMZ she had checked into her hotel, then stepped downstairs for a cigarette and a drink. After briefly going outside with a group of YouTubers she had met in the lobby, she returned to find her glass of wine covered with a napkin she says she never placed there. She drank from it, and the next thing she remembers is waking up in the hospital.

Her representative added that Reid "filed a police report" and is cooperating with what they described as an ongoing investigation, urging the public to be vigilant about unattended drinks. However, Rosemont Police told both TMZ and PEOPLE that no drugging report has been filed, and authorities say no one has contacted them since the medical call.

Reid, who has faced past struggles with substance abuse, insists she consumed only one drink that night. For now, she is recovering and asking for privacy.
