Kevin Spacey is expected to return to a London courtroom next year as three additional civil claims of sexual assault move toward trial, marking the latest chapter in the actor's long-running legal battles.

According to reporting from BBC News, three men have filed separate lawsuits accusing the actor of assaulting them between 2000 and 2013. During a procedural hearing at London's High Court on Wednesday, a provisional trial date of October 12, 2026 was floated. Judges will later determine whether the suits will be bundled into one civil trial or proceed consecutively.

Spacey, who was acquitted in 2023 of criminal sexual assault charges brought by four men in the U.K., has denied all allegations. Court filings show he has formally rejected two of the new civil claims, while a defense for the third has not yet been submitted. Representatives for the actor did not respond to requests for comment about the ongoing proceedings.

One of the claimants previously brought a suit against Spacey in 2022, though that case was paused pending the outcome of the criminal trial. The man, who has been granted anonymity by the court, alleges he suffered "psychiatric damage and financial loss" tied to an incident he says occurred in August 2008.

Another claimant, Ruari Cannon, has waived anonymity. Cannon alleges that Spacey groped him at a 2013 party while he was performing in a production at the Old Vic, the same theater where Spacey served as artistic director for more than a decade. Cannon appeared in Channel 4's 2024 docuseries Spacey Unmasked, which examined a series of accusations against the actor. Following the program's release, Spacey issued a statement insisting, "Each time I have been given the time and a proper forum to defend myself, the allegations have failed under scrutiny and I have been exonerated."

The third claimant has not been publicly identified.

Spacey has faced multiple legal actions in recent years. In 2022, he was sued in New York by actor Anthony Rapp, who accused him of sexual assault dating back to the 1980s. A jury ultimately found Spacey not liable.

The new London civil cases are expected to shape the next major phase in the actor's post-acquittal legal landscape as the courts prepare to revisit allegations that have followed him for more than a decade.
