Kim Kardashian opened up about the toll that months of bar exam prep took on her, revealing that the rigorous study schedule caused physical strain, increased stress, and emotional challenges in the days before she took the California exam, which she later did not pass.

On a recent episode of The Kardashians, the 45-year-old reality star and entrepreneur shared that she suffered a back injury while studying for the exam, compounding the stress of an already demanding period. "I threw my back out, and it's like, every time I think I get to another step, something pulls me back," she said on the show.

The pain affected her daily functioning as well as her mental state. "I can hardly walk. I can hardly f—king sit," Kardashian added, explaining that the injury made an exhausting study schedule even harder to manage. As the pressure mounted less than two weeks before the exam, she admitted she reached a breaking point. "There's all these f—king roadblocks, and I'm not a pity-party kind of girl, but last night, I was like, 'Why the f—k is this happening?'"

Kardashian, who has been pursuing a legal career since 2019 through California's apprenticeship pathway, said she was surprised by how emotionally draining the process became. She described the experience as unexpectedly intense and emotionally overwhelming.

She also spoke about the weight of knowing that over six years of dedication and study came down to the result of one exam, a realization that she said was mentally exhausting and difficult to cope with. At one stage, she even considered whether she would try again if she did not pass, pointing to limited time and worries about burnout and mental exhaustion.

Kardashian later shared that she did not pass the July exam, but emphasized that the outcome had not changed her determination to become a lawyer. She reassured supporters that she planned to keep studying and remain fully committed to eventually passing the bar.
