Tate McRae is enjoying back-to-back outings with Jack Hughes. The 22-year-old singer and 24-year-old NFL player went for a winter walk in New York City on December 22, one day after she was seen cheering him on at a New Jersey Devils home game against the Buffalo Sabres.
Tate wore a black trench coat and jeans, and she accessorized with a butter yellow baseball cap, a Chloe bag, and shoes.
Meanwhile, Jack wore a tan quarter-zip sweater under a black puffer, matching pants, a baseball hat, and white sneakers. The hockey player, who is in his seventh season with the Devils, was also wearing a cast as he recovered from a finger injury.
Tate made his return to the ice on December 21, after missing 18 games.
Tate and Jack first sparked dating rumors in November after going on a dinner date in New York City. Neither has publicly commented on their relationship status, with Tate intentionally keeping her dating life under wraps following her split from The Kid LAROI earlier this year.
After all, she described the public reaction to her song "Tit for Tat," which many assumed was about the split, as "really scary and overwhelming."
"I would never talk that way, even about my friends' lives," she told Rolling Stone in an interview published on December 11. "I didn't realize how much it would affect me, with the public knowing my private life, because no one knows the full story of anything, ever."
And, while writing serves as an emotional outlet for Tate, she does not want every aspect of her personal life investigated.
"I also hate people painting a situation that's worse than it is," she told me. "But I've realized that he's going to write songs, and I'm going to write songs, and that's how we both express ourselves. That's our art and our job. And once it's out, it's no longer mine."
