Khloé Kardashian added a furry friend to her family this holiday season. On December 25, the reality star shared a photo on Instagram Stories of an adorable puppy wearing a festive red bow and a tag that read "Peppermint."
"I am going to cry, she's the best in the world," Khloé wrote, tagging Big Creek Labradors, a Labrador retriever breeder based in Indiana. The Good American co-founder, 41, posted two more pictures of the puppy nestled among her children's plush toys. "I am not ok right now," she added. "This may be my gift because I could cry. @bigcreeklabradors she is the sweetest soul ever!!!!!"
Khloé previously revealed that her two children, daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 3, whom she shares with ex Tristan Thompson, had asked Santa for a dog. On December 15, she posted a carousel of photos that included a handwritten note from the siblings. "Dear Santa, please can I have a real puppy," the letter read. "I want a black lab." They signed the note with "True and Tay Tay" and added, "Santa make sure it is real."
True already has experience caring for pets. For her sixth birthday last year, she received a second cat after the family welcomed their first, Grey Kitty. "Welcome to the family Baby Kitty," Khloé wrote in April 2024. "All True wanted for her sixth birthday was another kitty. She is such a great kitty mommy to Grey Kitty. I know she will be just as wonderful to Baby Kitty." Khloé admitted she never imagined owning cats, saying, "Never in a million years did I think I would have one cat let alone two. But here we are and I love them. Two is enough."
Khloé's love for animals goes back to her childhood. She shared a close bond with her black Labrador, Gabbana, who passed away in January 2018 at age 14. In a heartfelt tribute, Khloé wrote, "She was more than a pet. She was my first child, my companion and my friend. Fourteen years is a long time together. She filled a significant role in my life and I'll remember her always."
