Sydney Sweeney isn't finished playing house.

After starring in the film adaptation of Freida McFadden's novel The Housemaid, the actress is officially set to return with costar Michele Morrone and director Paul Feig for a sequel, which will begin production later this year, Lionsgate announced on January 6.

In the first film, Sydney, 28, played Millie Calloway, a troubled young woman who works as a live-in maid for Nina Winchester (Amanda Seyfried) and her wealthy family, only to discover dark secrets about her new employers. The sequel, titled The Housemaid's Secret, will be based on the second book in the series.

It is not surprising that the Euphoria star would return for more. After all, she recently stated that once she received the script for The Housemaid, she couldn't put it down.

"The first time I even read it, I was like, 'This is so delicious, like this would be the funnest thing everybody gets to do,'" she told E! News at the film's New York premiere in December. "So I was in from day one; I was so in."

Furthermore, Sydney, who serves as an executive producer on both the film and its upcoming sequel, described the process of bringing The Housemaid to the big screen as "more exciting than anything."

"We all loved the book," she went on. "We all love what we do, and we're so excited to bring this to life for people.”

While Amanda, 40, has yet to confirm her return for The Housemaid's Secret, she has recently expressed interest in a sequel.

"I almost guarantee that I'm going to be some small cameo in it, because it's about Syd and her working for a new family," Amanda told the magazine on Jan. 3. "There is a lot that happens, particularly with Michele's character, Enzo. I really want to see how she keeps Nina Winchester in her pocket, because I'm going to jump right back into it."
