Gina Kirschenheiter's new title coincides with the new year. The Real Housewives of Orange County star is now a fiancée after proposing to her longtime love Travis Mullen on New Year's Eve.
Gina's children, Nick, 13, Sienna, 11, and Luca, 10, whom she shares with ex Matthew Kirschenheiter, and Travis' children, Presley, 14, Bennett, 12, and Joey, 9, from a previous relationship, were present at the couple's blended family celebration in Big Bear.
According to People, as the family prepared for their New Year's Eve dinner, Travis asked Gina to step outside to help find the ideal location for their group photo. To her surprise, the entrepreneur pulled out a 6-carat diamond ring and proposed while Presley captured the moment from a hidden location nearby.
"I was in complete shock!" the 41-year-old told the outlet in an interview published on January 7. "My nervous system was trying to catch up with what had just happened in this magical moment, as well as process the iceberg that was being presented to me! I, of course, said 'yes' and melted into the sweetest kiss I'd ever experienced!"
Indeed, the engagement announcement added another layer to the family's celebrations.
"The three of us hugged, all teary-eyed and happy, and then walked back into the house where all the other kids were waiting and began to sound off their New Year's Eve horns and launch off confetti poppers!" Gina shared. "It was perfect!" It meant so much to be there as a family, celebrating together. We were all very happy. "A true pinnacle moment."
Gina began her relationship with Travis in 2019, a year after splitting from Matthew, after a mutual friend introduced them and they felt an instant connection.
"We fell hard and fast," the realtor told People. "We've already dealt with some difficult issues in our lives, but they've only brought us closer together and strengthened us. He's always been my person. He was waiting in California for me."
Gina and Travis' news was celebrated by her Real Housewives family, who expressed their love on her Jan. 7 Instagram post.
"So happy for you and the whole family!!!" Heather Dubrow wrote. "Very exciting." Gretchen Rossi joined in, saying, "Ahh, congratulations!" I'm so happy for you.
As for franchise producer Andy Cohen, he added, “Love wins.
