Divorce papers were filed months after the couple quietly wed following a public engagement.

Jaime King is heading into another divorce, this time from her second husband, Austin Sosa. The investment banker submitted the filing on Thursday, Jan. 22, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. A source familiar with the matter said the wedding date has not been publicly disclosed.

News of the split arrives roughly seven months after the pair confirmed their engagement. At the time, a representative shared that King felt supported by fans and was focused on her family. The rep added that she was excited to celebrate the milestone with her children and requested privacy.

Friends previously said King had grown close to Sosa's relatives and spent time with them while transitioning homes. The couple met through mutual connections and kept much of their relationship out of the spotlight.

King is the mother of sons James, 12, and Leo, 10, whom she shares with filmmaker Kyle Newman. She and Newman married in 2007 and finalized their divorce in 2023 after a lengthy legal process.

In recent years, custody arrangements for the children have been addressed in court filings. While both parents share legal custody, Newman currently has primary physical custody.

Representatives for King were contacted for comment regarding the new filing. As the proceedings move forward, the actress continues to prioritize her sons and her work.

Neither party has publicly addressed the reasons for the breakup, and no additional details were included in the initial paperwork. For now, the focus appears to be on navigating the separation with discretion while maintaining normal routines for the family. Further updates may emerge as filings progress. Until then, King has asked for space during this period of change in her personal life and ongoing commitments remain.
