Ryan Reynolds has publicly addressed the unsealing of private text messages and emails involving him and his wife, Blake Lively, as her legal dispute with It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni continues. A spokesperson for the actor said the Deadpool star does not regret stepping in to support his wife as the documents become part of the public court record.

According to the representative, Reynolds viewed his involvement as a matter of principle, arguing that standing beside a spouse facing allegations of workplace misconduct was unavoidable. The spokesperson said Reynolds believed Lively was attempting to address her concerns privately and professionally, and that she later faced retaliation for doing so.

The representative added that if anything, Reynolds now feels his reaction should have been stronger. He is said to hold firm views on the importance of safe working environments in the film industry, and believes performers should not be punished for speaking up about alleged harassment or intimidation.

Among the materials released were messages shared between Reynolds and Lively with friends in Hollywood, including a discussion about early footage of the film. In one exchange, Reynolds described the production as chaotic and hinted that the behind-the-scenes drama rivaled anything audiences might see on screen.

Lively, in her own messages, offered blunt criticism of Baldoni, accusing him of inappropriate behavior on set, claims he has denied. Baldoni's legal team has maintained that the evidence does not support Lively's allegations, and says the newly unsealed communications reinforce his defense.

The dispute has drawn intense attention in Hollywood, particularly given Reynolds and Lively's high-profile status. While the case moves forward, Reynolds has made clear that he stands firmly beside his wife, signaling that public scrutiny will not alter his position.

As the lawsuit proceeds toward trial, industry observers say the unsealed messages underscore how personal disputes can quickly spill into public view when major studio releases and celebrity reputations collide. For now, both sides remain entrenched, with

the outcome likely to shape future conversations about power, accountability, and protections on high-budget film sets across Hollywood and beyond in the years ahead, industry-wide debates continue widely.
