Nick Jonas recently revealed that the only thing he worried about on his wedding day had nothing to do with marrying Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
Appearing on the Feb. 4 episode of Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast, the 33 year old singer took part in a segment called "What Would Your Wife Say?" The game challenges guests to predict how their spouse would respond to certain questions. When asked what Priyanka would say he was most nervous about on their wedding day, Nick first responded that he was not anxious about anything. After a brief pause, however, he remembered one concern.
According to Nick, the weather was extremely hot during their celebrations in India. He admitted that his main worry was sweating too much and not looking his best. He said he was concerned the heat would leave him drenched and appearing flustered in front of guests.
Despite that minor concern, Nick explained that emotionally he felt calm and certain. He recalled the moment Priyanka walked toward him, saying he experienced a deep sense of peace. In that instant, he felt confident he was exactly where he was meant to be.
Priyanka, 43, agreed with his assessment. Her response in the game described Nick as composed and steady throughout the day. She said she never saw him appear nervous.
The couple married in December 2018 in India, hosting two ceremonies that honored both of their backgrounds. They held a Western Christian wedding as well as a traditional Hindu ceremony that paid tribute to Priyanka's heritage. For the Hindu celebration, Nick wore a turban and sherwani, an outfit he joked can feel especially warm in high temperatures.
In January 2022, the pair welcomed their daughter, Malti, via surrogate.
Priyanka also recently addressed ongoing speculation about their relationship in an interview with Variety published Feb. 11. Reflecting on the rumors, she said they have been married for eight years and no longer pay attention to outside chatter. She added that marrying Nick within six months of meeting him initially felt surreal. Over time, she came to recognize his genuine nature, describing his sincerity as constant and inspiring, especially in an industry that often requires people to adapt and perform.
