The collective effort to support the family of the late Eric Dane continues to gain momentum, with his former partner, model and actress Priya Jaine, contributing $10,000 to the actor’s memorial fund. The donation added to a rapidly growing total that has seen significant participation from both the public and high-profile figures within the entertainment industry.

The GoFundMe campaign, titled the “Book of Days Memorial Fund,” was established shortly after the Grey’s Anatomy star passed away on February 19 following a private battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Jaine’s contribution appeared on the fundraiser’s public ledger just one day after a $20,000 donation from Hailey Bieber, highlighting the broad network of support surrounding Dane’s surviving family.

Jaine and Dane were linked romantically following his 2018 split from Rebecca Gayheart, and while the two eventually moved in different directions, they reportedly remained on amicable terms. Those close to the situation suggest that Jaine remained a supportive figure in Dane’s life as he navigated the early stages of his ALS diagnosis. Her donation is being viewed by many as a tribute to their shared history and a sign of respect for Dane’s dedication to his daughters, Billie Beatrice and Georgia.

The funds raised through the campaign are designated for two primary purposes: assisting with the actor’s final arrangements and establishing a trust for his children’s education and future endeavors. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds is being directed toward ALS research and patient advocacy groups, honoring Dane’s final months of activism. Before his passing, Dane had become an outspoken advocate for the ALS Network, working to de-stigmatize the illness and secure better resources for those living with neurodegenerative conditions.

The “Book of Days” fund has now surpassed $750,000, fueled by thousands of small donations from fans alongside larger contributions from Hollywood peers. The name of the fund is a nod to Dane’s upcoming posthumous memoir, which is expected to offer a candid look at his career and his year-long fight against the disease. As preparations for a private memorial service in Los Angeles continue, the consistent influx of support from past and present figures in Dane’s life serves as a powerful testament to the actor’s enduring character and the impact he left on those who knew him.
