Travis Barker is reflecting on the unwavering support he received from his family while working on his deeply personal documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear.
Speaking to PEOPLE at the documentary's world premiere during the Tribeca Festival in New York City on June 13, the 50-year-old Blink-182 drummer shared how much his wife, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, and his children have meant to him throughout the process.
According to Barker, Kardashian Barker has been one of the documentary's biggest supporters, revealing that she has watched the film numerous times.
The musician also highlighted the involvement of his 22-year-old son, Landon Barker, whom he shares with former wife Shanna Moakler. Landon appears in the documentary and participated in several interviews featured in the project.
"They've all been super supportive, and I wouldn't be here without all the love from them," Barker said of his family.
Directed by Justin Krook and Michael Dwyer, Louder Than Fear explores Barker's rise to fame, his struggles behind the scenes and the life-changing events that shaped him, including the aftermath of the devastating 2008 private plane crash. The 99-minute documentary also features interviews with people close to Barker, including loved ones and figures from the music industry.
The project, which is set for release later this summer, was first announced in April.
Krook and Dwyer, who have worked with Barker on the documentary for more than a decade, said they witnessed firsthand how central family has always been to his life.
Krook noted that Barker frequently brought his children along while touring and described them as a close-knit and loving family. He added that he first met Barker's children when they were teenagers and has enjoyed watching them grow into young adults.
Barker and Kardashian Barker share a blended family that includes Landon, daughter Alabama Barker and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya from Barker's previous relationship with Moakler. Kardashian Barker is also mother to Mason, Penelope and Reign, whom she shares with former partner Scott Disick.
The couple welcomed their first child together, son Rocky, in November 2023.
Earlier this year, Barker paid tribute to his wife on social media, describing her as an amazing woman, an incredible wife and the best mother to their children. He said he feels grateful to share life with her.
Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear is scheduled to premiere on Hulu and Disney+ on August 13.
