For Gisele Bündchen, this Father's Day came with a lot to celebrate.
The 45-year-old supermodel took to Instagram on Sunday to honor her husband, Joaquim Valente, with a warm public tribute accompanied by a rare collection of family photos showing the couple alongside their infant son and Bündchen's two older children. In the post, she praised the 38-year-old jiu-jitsu instructor for the values he brings to their home, citing his humility, integrity, discipline and consistency as qualities that set the tone for the entire family.
"You are an incredible role model. We are all so grateful for you, and we love you so much," she wrote, thanking him for leading by example. The post also included a note of gratitude for her own father's lifelong support before closing with a broader Father's Day message to dads everywhere.
Bündchen and Valente welcomed their first child together in February 2025 and married in December of that year following nearly three years together. Their relationship began roughly a year after Bündchen's 2022 divorce from Tom Brady, with whom she shares son Benjamin, 16, and daughter Vivian, 13.
Bündchen has previously spoken about how her relationship with Valente differs from her past. In a 2024 interview with The New York Times, she described the bond as grounded in friendship first, calling it more honest and transparent than what she had experienced before. She also pushed back firmly against speculation that the relationship had begun before her marriage ended, calling such claims false and pointing to the particular pressure public figures face when navigating the end of a high-profile union.
Despite the history, Bündchen and Brady have maintained a workable dynamic for the sake of their children. A source told Us Weekly in March that the two communicate exclusively about co-parenting matters, describing the arrangement as stable and mutually respectful.
Brady, meanwhile, marked Father's Day with his own tribute — this one directed at his dad, posting a message on his Instagram Stories calling him his hero.
