Rebecca Gayheart paid tribute to late husband Eric Dane while celebrating Father’s Day for the first time since his passing.
“I hurt for my girls today,” the actress, 54, wrote via her Instagram Story on Sunday, June 21. “It’s a ‘first’ of many to come.”
Gayheart’s post included a throwback snap of Dane sitting with the pair’s daughters Billie Beatrice, now 16, and Georgia Geraldine, now 14, as the group celebrated a past Father’s Day. The girls held up a card they picked up for Dane and the box they decorated for him that included multiple family photos. Dane was all smiles as he embraced his little ones.
“ I know Eric is looking out for them every day,” Gayheart concluded.
Dane died earlier this year following a battle with ALS. He was 53
