Tom Holland and Zendaya shared a charming moment on the red carpet in Rome as they promoted Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
While speaking with reporters on June 23, Holland called out to his wife using her middle name: "Maree, do you remember the name of that place?" Zendaya, who was being interviewed further down the carpet, quickly responded, "Giolitti's!" She then told reporters, "That's where we're going after this."
Zendaya's full name is Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, though she has long chosen to go by her first name professionally. In past interviews, she explained that she liked the simplicity of using just "Zendaya," similar to icons like Cher or Prince.
Still, her middle name holds personal meaning. Director Sam Levinson even named her character Marie in the 2021 film Malcolm & Marie, a role she said was written with her in mind.
The Rome premiere was one of several appearances the couple has made together this summer as they promote the latest Marvel installment. Zendaya, 29, and Holland, 30, first met during auditions for Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017 and went public with their romance in 2021.
Earlier this month, Holland confirmed in an interview that the two are married, telling Esquire U.K. that family members didn't need clarification about AI-generated wedding images because "they were all there."
Despite their growing public profile, both stars emphasize the importance of keeping parts of their life private. Zendaya explained that while she understands fans' interest, she tries to preserve moments for herself and Holland.
