Several of Taylor Swift's close friends have been spotted in New York as speculation continues to build over her reported upcoming wedding to fiancé Travis Kelce.
On Tuesday, June 30, singer Ed Sheeran and producer Aaron Dessner were seen dining together at BuonaSera on the Lake in Malta, New York. The restaurant's owner, Danielle Hartwyk, shared a selfie with the pair on Instagram, describing their appearance as a surprise for both guests and staff.
Hartwyk thanked Sheeran and Dessner for taking time to interact with everyone at the restaurant, saying their kindness made the evening especially memorable.
The restaurant is located roughly 60 miles from Dessner's Long Pond Studio, where both Swift and Sheeran have recorded music over the years. Swift also filmed her Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions performance at the renowned recording facility.
Meanwhile, in New York City, fellow pop star Sabrina Carpenter was also seen spending time with friends. The singer was spotted at Emmett's on Grove in the West Village after appearing briefly in a video shared on X. Carpenter was seen wearing her signature long blonde hair and what appeared to be a leather jacket.
The sightings come just days after reports suggested Swift and Kelce had reserved Madison Square Garden for a multi day private event. According to The New York Times, the couple booked the iconic venue, while a representative from New York City's Street Activity Office later confirmed that a permit had been filed to temporarily close the surrounding area.
Preparations at Madison Square Garden have attracted further attention. On Monday, workers were seen unloading equipment, rolls of grass and decorative items from trucks outside the venue. Several equipment cases were also visible, including one reportedly labelled "Garden Party" in purple lettering.
Sources indicated that around 40 Madison Square Garden employees were involved in preparing the venue, with crews reportedly working overnight ahead of what was described as a major event.
Additional activity was spotted on Tuesday when staff rolled out a red carpet at the arena's south entrance. However, reports later claimed the carpet had been removed only a few hours afterward.
Although Swift and Kelce have not publicly confirmed details of their wedding plans, reports from Page Six and Rolling Stone claim longtime friend and music icon Stevie Nicks is expected to perform during the ceremony.
