Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, are back in the spotlight after a series of heated text messages surfaced from February 2025.

The messages, published by TMZ, show Paul accusing Mortensen of lying about his plans and secretly meeting up with women.

When Mortensen told her he was out getting food, Paul fired back, "Who the f*** you with? F***ing sketch liar." She went on to call him "wicked" and added, "Nah, you're with girls. K go with that."

Mortensen explained he was eating pizza with a friend and the friend's wife, but Paul didn't believe him. Later, she apologized, admitting she had been "nuts" and sent "awful things."

The texts are the latest twist in the former couple's custody battle over their son, Ever, 2. Paul and Mortensen dated on and off from 2022 until late 2024, when they split after she accused him of inappropriate conversations with one of her family friends.

Earlier this year, both were investigated for domestic violence, but prosecutors declined to press charges.

In April, Mortensen was granted temporary custody of Ever, while Paul was allowed eight hours of supervised visitation each week. A judge also issued protective orders requiring them to stay 100 feet apart for three years.

Mortensen later said on Instagram that stepping away from the "chaos" gave him clarity, writing, "My focus now is where it should have been all along, on my son and creating a stable, healthy environment."

Paul has faced her own challenges. She voluntarily entered rehab in July, saying it was a "reset" for her mental health. She explained, "Facilities are not for just substance. ... There are a list of reasons why people go into that. Number one priority was just a reset for my mental health, and to get away, decompress."

Despite the legal battles, Paul is returning to Hulu's The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives for season five's opening sequence, though she isn't expected to film other scenes yet.
