Brittany Cartwright has spoken out about her estranged husband Jax Taylor's new romance with Lori Krebs, a woman who once worked as their publicist. The Vanderpump Rules alum didn't hold back, telling People in a video posted August 4, "I never wish bad for anybody but they have to be absolutely miserable, and I hope they are."
She added, "My honest opinion is that my ex needs a mommy. I've never seen another publicist want to be the center of attention like she did."
Taylor, 47, recently confirmed he is in a relationship, responding to a fan on Instagram who suggested he should join The Bachelor with, "No thanks I'm taken." While he didn't name Krebs, sources told E! News the two began dating after separating from their partners. Insiders stressed there was no secret affair, saying their relationship only shifted in recent months.
Cartwright, 37, and Taylor's relationship has long been turbulent. They met in 2015 during the filming of Vanderpump Rules and married in 2019. Their ups and downs included Taylor's admission of cheating with castmate Faith Stowers in 2017, but the couple reconciled and later welcomed their son Cruz in 2021. By February 2024, they announced their separation, and Cartwright filed for divorce that August.
Photos of Taylor and Krebs together in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, surfaced in July, showing them close at Hotel Mousai. The images fueled speculation before Taylor's social media confirmation.
Cartwright initially said she would stay quiet, telling listeners on her When Reality Hits podcast in July, "I will be speaking my truth—the truth—on this matter very soon whenever I'm ready. As of right now, I am focusing on me and the most important thing in my life, which is my beautiful son."
Beyond the romance, reports suggest Cartwright has also been upset about Taylor's rumored return to reality TV. According to Daily Mail, she was blindsided by his closeness with Krebs, who had been part of her inner circle for years. Sources said the sense of betrayal, more than the relationship itself, has made the situation harder for her to process.
Despite the ongoing drama, Cartwright and Taylor have reached a custody agreement for Cruz, sharing responsibility for their son's upbringing.
