Ariana Grande has wrapped the North American leg of her Eternal Sunshine Tour with an emotional message of gratitude to fans, as she prepares to complete the final stretch of the tour before stepping back from public life.
She played the last of three shows at Chicago's United Center on Aug. 6 before taking to Instagram to reflect on the past few months with her supporters.
"I love you," Grande wrote. "I cannot believe that this concludes the north American leg of the eternal sunshine tour. I am overwhelmed with love and the deepest gratitude."
She thanked fans for making the tour unforgettable, adding, "thank you endlessly for the most special, beautiful, joyful and deeply fulfilling few months. I will cherish every moment of this time with you all & these memories forever."
Grande also looked ahead to the final leg of the tour, which consists of 10 shows at London's O2 Arena through Sept. 1.
"London, I cannot wait to see you soon. I love you all more than ever," she wrote.
The message comes days after Grande announced she will take a break from public-facing work once the tour concludes. A representative for the singer said she is looking forward to finishing the tour "healthily and happily" before taking "a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances," citing the "endless, ongoing public scrutiny" she has faced in recent months.
As part of those plans, Grande has also withdrawn from the upcoming West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George, in which she had been scheduled to star alongside her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey.
The singer's latest album, Petal, was released on July 31, while the lead single, "Hate That I Made You Love Me," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Grande will now head to London to close out the Eternal Sunshine Tour before beginning her planned hiatus.
