Gracie Abrams is putting speculation of a feud with Taylor Swift to rest.
On the August 20 episode of the Therapuss podcast, the 26-year-old singer reflected on her time opening for Swift's Eras Tour in 2023 and 2024, describing the experience as nothing short of transformative.
"You get to watch this titan of the industry, top down, make the experience for every single person who ever attended, every single person who works to make it happen, the best version of the experience that it could be," Abrams said.
She added that the tour had "very summer camp vibes" and taught her an important lesson: "I learned on a personal level that the show always goes on no matter what. You would never know if she was sick. You would never know if her heart was aching. She's just giving it everything and doing it with grace and warmth."
Abrams went further, praising Swift as "this fiercely brilliant, singular kind of alien. But she's a person."
Her remarks come after weeks of online speculation about tension between the two artists. Rumors intensified in July when Abrams posted an Instagram carousel that included a photo of the dress she wore to Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding alongside an image of Swift's ex, Joe Alwyn. Fans also speculated that Abrams' song "Death Wish" was about a fallout with Swift.
But producer Aaron Dessner, who has collaborated with both singers, dismissed the theory. He told Billboard the track was "definitely not" about Swift, explaining it was written about a friend's ex in a bad relationship. "It was kind of about that person, I think. I wouldn't even actually know who that person was," Dessner said.
Abrams' comments make clear there's no bad blood. Instead, she credits Swift with shaping her own artistry. Calling the Eras Tour a "masterclass," Abrams emphasized how much she learned from watching Swift perform night after night.
