Aronow, 33, has entered a pre-trial diversion program, according to court records reviewed by People. She is scheduled to appear for an arraignment on Aug. 25 and is required to complete classes and may also have to pay fines as part of the program.
She faces charges including simple assault, simple battery, battery and criminal trespassing.
Georgia's pre-trial diversion program provides an alternative to traditional prosecution for certain criminal offenses. The program is intended to help individuals address their conduct and avoid further involvement with the criminal justice system.
The charges stem from an incident at Club Elan in Savannah, Ga., on Feb. 24, 2024. Aronow was arrested following a physical confrontation at the bar, according to the Savannah Police Department.
A police report previously obtained by People detailed allegations from security staff and a bartender who were at the venue that night.
According to the report, security footage allegedly showed Aronow entering an employee bathroom without permission. Two bouncers and a bartender reportedly told her she could not use the employee restroom and directed her to the public bathroom.
Authorities alleged that Aronow became confrontational during the encounter.
One bouncer told police that Aronow pulled his hair. Another security guard said he placed Aronow in a bear hug to restrain her and alleged that she kicked him in the groin.
A bartender also gave police an account of the incident. She reportedly said Aronow explained that she needed to use the bathroom because she was going to vomit and needed to change her tampon. According to the report, the bartender allowed her a few minutes.
When the bartender returned, Aronow allegedly threw a tampon at her. She was then removed from the establishment.
Aronow initially denied throwing the tampon when questioned by police, according to the report. She later acknowledged that she had thrown it but claimed she had been acting in self-defense.
The incident led to Aronow's arrest and the subsequent charges. Her entry into the pre-trial diversion program means she can potentially resolve the case without serving jail time if she meets the requirements set by the court.
People has contacted Aronow's attorneys for comment.
