North West has a clear idea of what she wants as she explores her personal style and growing music career.
The 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West recently appeared on the cover of Dazed and spoke with the publication about her ambitions in music. During the interview, North also discussed her signature blue hair and growing interest in piercings.
The teenager explained that she believes her interests are relatively harmless compared with some of the activities other teenagers may be drawn to.
"Everyone's in love with boys, vaping and doing all kinds of bad stuff," North said. "All I want is blue hair and piercings."
North also revealed that there is one piercing she particularly wants but has not been allowed to get yet. She said she would like to have her bridge pierced, referring to the area across the upper part of the nose.
"I really want to get my bridge pierced, but I'm not allowed," she said.
When asked what attracts her to piercings, North offered a simple explanation.
"They just make you your full self," she said.
North is the eldest of Kardashian and West's four children. The former couple also share sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, 7, as well as daughter Chicago, 8.
The teenager first attracted attention for her piercings after she was photographed with them while vacationing in Rome with her mother. Since then, she has continued experimenting with body jewelry, including adding spiked studs near her knuckles.
North has faced criticism online over her evolving appearance and fashion choices, but she has defended her personal style. Her mother has also pushed back against criticism directed at her daughter.
Kardashian previously described criticism of North's appearance as a "non-issue" after a social media post questioned the teenager's changing look. She has also asked the public to show more grace as she navigates raising her daughter in the public eye.
During an October 2025 appearance on Call Her Daddy, Kardashian acknowledged that parenting can involve learning along the way, particularly when children are growing up under constant public attention.
Meanwhile, North continues to pursue her interest in music. She released her debut EP, N0rth4evr, earlier this year and was expected to embark on her first headlining tour with rapper Molly Santana this summer.
However, the planned tour did not go ahead. Several dates were listed as canceled, including shows in Dallas and Toronto, while the tour's official website was also reportedly taken down.
Despite the setback, North remains focused on developing her music career while expressing herself through her distinctive style.
