Lori Loughlin is officially ending her marriage to Mossimo Giannulli nearly a year after the couple confirmed they were living separately.
The Full House actress, 62, filed for divorce on Sept. 4, citing irreconcilable differences, according to court documents obtained by multiple outlets. Loughlin listed Aug. 31, 2025, as the couple's date of separation.
Loughlin and Giannulli, 63, married in November 1997 and share two daughters, Isabella Rose, 27, and Olivia Jade, 26. Their divorce filing also confirms that they have a prenuptial agreement covering their separate and community property, which was amended in 2015. The issue of spousal support will be addressed at a later date.
The couple's split first became public in October 2025, when Loughlin's representative confirmed that they were "living apart" and taking a break from their marriage. At the time, there were no legal proceedings.
Sources later indicated that the fallout from their involvement in the college admissions scandal had taken a lasting toll on their relationship. Loughlin and Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 to help secure their daughters' admission to the University of Southern California by falsely presenting them as crew recruits, despite neither having participated in the sport.
Both eventually pleaded guilty to federal charges. Loughlin served two months in prison, while Giannulli served five months.
One source previously told PEOPLE that "Things have never been the same after weathering the college admission fallout and the prison sentences together," adding that Loughlin felt betrayed and that the couple were in very different places.
Loughlin's longtime friend and former Full House costar John Stamos also publicly defended her after news of the separation emerged. Speaking on the Good Guys podcast, Stamos said, "She's not a liar. She's a saint," and claimed she "didn't deserve to be dragged through that."
Despite the personal turmoil, Loughlin has gradually rebuilt her career. She returned to acting following the scandal and has appeared in projects including When Hope Calls, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Blue Bloods and On Call. Hallmark also announced her return to When Calls the Heart.
