The highly anticipated coming-of-age romance Winter Spring Summer or Fall, starring Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes White, is officially set to premiere on Paramount+ beginning Sunday, September 1.
The film, which first debuted at the 2024 Tribeca Festival, went on to enjoy a limited theatrical release through Paramount’s Republic Pictures in April. Now, audiences worldwide will get the chance to stream the heartfelt story exclusively on Paramount+.
Directed by Tiffany Paulsen, best known for her work on romantic comedies like Holidate and About Fate, the film brings a fresh yet classic take on teen romance. Paulsen’s direction focuses on emotional honesty and the fleeting moments that shape young adulthood, grounding the film in both nostalgia and relatability.
At the center of the story are Remi (Ortega) and Barnes (White), two very different teenagers whose lives intersect unexpectedly in the winter of their senior year. What begins as a chance encounter evolves into a deep and transformative connection as the pair spend four pivotal days together — one in each season. Over the course of these days, they navigate the highs and lows of self-discovery, friendship, and young love, offering a story that resonates across generations.
The screenplay, written by Dan Schoffer, captures the bittersweet nature of teenage years, weaving in humor, heart, and the universal struggle of finding one’s place in the world. Behind the scenes, the film is supported by an experienced producing team: Josh Shader, Brad Krevoy, and David M. Wulf. The production was brought to life under Motion Picture Corporation of America and Wall Fly, both companies with a track record of delivering heartfelt stories for broad audiences.
In addition to Ortega and White, the film features a strong supporting cast including Marisol Nichols (Riverdale), Elias Kacavas (My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3), Adam Rodriguez (Criminal Minds), and Jacqueline Emerson (The Hunger Games). Each actor adds depth to the story, complementing the central romance while exploring themes of family, friendship, and growth.
For Ortega, who rose to worldwide fame with her breakout role in Netflix’s Wednesday, this film marks another step in expanding her career into projects that blend emotional storytelling with mainstream appeal. Paired with Percy Hynes White, who also starred in Wednesday as Xavier, the duo brings undeniable chemistry to the screen.
With its mix of heartfelt storytelling, a talented cast, and the charm of its seasonal structure, Winter Spring Summer or Fall is poised to become a must-watch romance when it hits Paramount+ this September.
