The Jonas Brothers have expressed heartfelt gratitude to their fans as they celebrate 20 years in the music industry. The trio, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas took to Instagram to reflect on their journey, announce upcoming projects, and dismiss any fears of a potential breakup.
"To our incredible fans, as a family, we have been reflecting a lot lately... It's been 20 years since we started this journey together," they wrote. They recalled their early days, saying, "It feels like just yesterday we were loading up our family mini-van with a couple of guitars and copies of It's About Time CDs, en route to an afternoon performance at a local mall to play for anyone who would listen."
The band, who first signed with Columbia Records in 2005, went on to achieve massive success with hits like Sucker, Waffle House, and SOS. They briefly split in 2013 before making a triumphant return in 2019 with their album Happiness Begins. Their latest album, The Album, was released in 2023, and they recently concluded their Five Albums. One Night. The World Tour, which ran from August 2023 to October 2024.
"In the years that followed, you've given us a thousand lifetimes of incredible memories," they continued. "Together, we have celebrated wins, made mistakes, overcome obstacles, and grieved losses. Put simply: we've all grown up together." The brothers emphasized their deep appreciation for their fans, adding, "We treasure our connection with you as much today as we did when we played our first show."
Looking ahead, the band announced exciting plans for 2025, which they called "a year of music." They revealed, "New Jonas Brothers music. Solo music. A live concert album. And a soundtrack." Nick will also be returning to Broadway in March to star alongside Adrienne Warren in the first-ever Broadway production of The Last Five Years. Meanwhile, the band is in the final stages of production on their upcoming Disney+ Christmas movie, which they said they "can't wait" for fans to see this fall.
The Instagram post concluded with a heartfelt message: "Expect a lot more announcements over the coming days and weeks. From the bottom of our hearts: thank you! Here's to the next 20 years, and here's to doing it together. The best is yet to come."
Fans initially feared the lengthy letter signaled another breakup, but the band quickly put those concerns to rest. "To whoever was too lazy to read this letter: No, they are not splitting. They're going to celebrate their music career with something special!" one fan commented. Another admitted, "I panicked for a sec," while others joked about how "fragile" their emotions were upon seeing the post.
