Katseye proved that their rapidly growing international appeal remains firmly intact when the multinational pop group delivered its first full concert in the United Kingdom at London's O2 Arena.
Despite performing without members Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza, who are both currently on health related hiatuses, the group received an extraordinary reception from fans. Screams erupted before the concert had even started, as music videos played across the venue's giant screens, and the enthusiasm continued throughout the nearly three hour performance.
The London concert was only the second stop on Katseye's Wildworld tour, yet the audience appeared to know almost every moment of the show. Fans waved lightsticks, copied choreography and occasionally broke down in tears as the six member group's remaining performers worked to fill the space left by their absent colleagues.
Yoonchae Jeong, the youngest member, immediately embraced the atmosphere, asking the crowd whether they were happy to see the group. Megan Skiendiel and Lara Raj were equally impressed by the response, repeatedly describing the London audience as one of their loudest.
Katseye was formed in 2023 through The Debut: Dream Academy, a reality competition created by South Korean entertainment company Hybe and American record label Geffen. More than 120,000 people initially applied, with only six eventually selected.
The group enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2025, particularly following the release of "Gnarly" and "Gabriela." Their London audience was notably young, with fans arriving in outfits inspired by the members, including Lara's celebration of her Asian heritage. One particularly creative concertgoer even dressed as a courgette, referencing the song "Internet Girl."
However, Katseye's rapid rise has come alongside intense scrutiny. Manon announced her hiatus in February to focus on her health and wellbeing after previously discussing racism and death threats directed at the group. Sophia later announced her own break to prioritise her mental health and wellness.
The absences have raised questions about the demanding schedules associated with the K Pop system. Nevertheless, the remaining members delivered a confident performance, with their microphones reportedly live throughout the concert alongside backing tracks.
Daniela Avanzini impressed with an aerial dance sequence, while Lara demonstrated her vocal ability during "unloveu." Yoonchae's performance of "Time Lapse" also gave her an opportunity to sing in Korean.
The concert concluded with "Iconic By Mistake" and a powerful rendition of "Gnarly." Despite the challenges, Katseye left London with a clear message: their journey is far from over.
