After just three months of marriage following their televised wedding, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, known for their roles on 'The Golden Bachelor,' have decided to part ways. The announcement came during a joint interview on Good Morning America, where Turner expressed, "Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations… and we've kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it's probably time for us to dissolve our marriage."

Their decision, though mutual, wasn't easy. Turner said, "We just feel like it's best for the happiness of each of us to live apart." This separation was primarily influenced by their current living arrangements, as Turner resides in Indiana while Nist is based in New Jersey. Despite plans to merge households and considering locations like South Carolina and New Jersey, they never reached a final decision. "We looked at home after home, but we never got to the point where we made that decision," Nist said.

Their commitment to family was evident throughout their relationship. Turner mentioned, "The thing that strikes me the most in our conversations, it's been how dedicated both of us are to our families." Even in the face of public scrutiny and reports about Turner's past relationships, the couple affirmed that their love for each other remains unchanged. Nist added, "I still love him," while Turner echoed, "I still love this person. There's no doubt in my mind, I still am in love with her."

Their journey, which captivated audiences on 'The Golden Bachelor,' peaked in a televised wedding in January. Despite the challenges they faced, including previous marriages and the loss of their spouses, Turner and Nist embarked on this new chapter with hope and optimism. Gerry's first marriage was to his high school love, Toni, lasting 43 years until her passing in 2017. Similarly, Theresa's previous marriage was to her high school love, Billy, who died in 2014 after 42 years of marriage.

As they navigate this unexpected turn, they encourage others to persevere in their pursuit of love, telling them not to lose hope. "We have received so much love and support from so many people who watched 'The Golden Bachelor,' and I don't think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope. We want none of that to change for anybody," said Nist.
