Utah Valley University has announced plans to create a memorial in honor of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was tragically assassinated during a speaking event on campus earlier this month. The university confirmed that a special committee has been established to oversee the project and ensure it reflects the values of both the UVU community and the broader public touched by Kirk’s work.

As part of its ongoing commitment to wearable technology, Meta has unveiled a new range of smart glasses powered by its advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tech. At the company's annual "Meta Connect" developers conference, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the new line of devices, which were developed in collaboration with leading sunglasses brands Ray-Ban and Oakley. In addition to the glasses themselves, Meta also introduced a neural wristband that integrates with the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses to allow users to execute various functions, including sending messages, via intuitive hand gestures.

Tommy Norman, a veteran officer with the North Little Rock Police Department and a well-known social media presence, was arrested over the weekend on a charge of third-degree domestic battery. The incident reportedly involved an argument with his wife, who alleged that Norman struck her. Norman’s version of events differs; he claims he was attempting to block a slap from her, and in doing so, caused the injury.
