New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted on five federal charges, including wire fraud, bribery, and accepting illegal campaign contributions from foreign nationals. The 57-page indictment, made public on September 26, 2024, by the Southern District of New York, accuses Adams of accepting luxury travel and gifts from wealthy foreign businesspeople and government officials in exchange for political favors.
