Nikola Jokic (30) recorded 19 assists - a personal single-game high - in the Denver Nuggets win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday evening. His 19 assists are now the most in a game for a centre since Wilt Chamberlain in 1968.

The three-time MVP was just three shy of breaking the record (21) for centers - also set by Chamberlain. So how about the rest of the centers and their assists totals in a game? Well, that's the thing. It's just Jokic and Chamberlain. On top of his 19 assists, Jokic also recorded 18 points on 9-14 shooting (zero free throws) with nine rebounds, three steals, and one block - making him the first player in NBA history with that stat line in a game.

The star of Serbia also finished alongside Jamal Murray with the highest +/- of the game with +17 en route to their 125-116 win. Jokic had 16 triple-doubles during his first MVP run,19 in the second, and 25 in the third. He needs just one more game to set another person best.

The Joker has the best case for MVP with the Nuggets reclaiming second place in the Western Conference with a 38-20 record. They've now won 10 of their last 11 games and will be heading to Milwaukee to face Giannis and the Bucks on February 27th.
