News of Tiger Woods' return to golf sparked plenty of conversation online, with Paige Spiranac in particular delighted by the announcement.

Woods hasn't featured in a tournament since the Masters back in April, though he was forced to pull out in the third round due to an ankle injury.

The setback proved bigger than first anticipated, as the 47-year-old was forced to undergo surgery resulting in several months on the sidelines.

Woods' return delights Spiranac

However, Woods was spotted practicing at the Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas last week and it looks as though he did so with a clear plan in mind.

That's because Woods will return to golf and feature in the 2023 Hero World Challenge, which will take place at the same course he was practicing at.

The PGA Tour tournament is hosted by Woods and his TGR Ventures, and boasts a field of 20 of the best players in the world including Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Max Homa, Rickie Fowler, Viktor Hovland and Collin Morikawa.

Woods' return will take place from November 30-December 3, and the news was music to the ears of Spiranac.

The online influencer, who boasts a loyal army of followers, reacted to the news with glee, writing: "Tiger Woods is back!"

She wasn't the only fan delighted by the announcement with another writing: "Brace for impact, the legend is back."

Another wrote: "Welcome back Tiger! The greatest to ever play the game!", while another added, "Starting the prep for his 16th Masters."

Spiranac a big fan of Woods

Spiranac's delight comes as no surprise as she previously admitted to "shaking like a leaf" after meeting Woods at a charity event.

"I have a lot of pretty cool stories that I would want to share," she stated in a Q&A.

"But unfortunately when I do, when I meet someone, the comments are 'oh he ****** her'. And it's like 'no', I can have a normal interaction with someone.

"It's disrespectful to me and to that person, and if they have a wife or significant other. So bearing that in mind, I did fan girl over Tiger Woods.

"He's the only person I got so incredibly nervous over while having a less at his charity event.

"I was shaking like a leaf, I was so nervous. But he was so nice.

"That was one moment where I was like, 'I can't believe this is my life'."
