Erling Haaland, Manchester City's striker, has returned to full training after recovering from an ankle injury. The 24-year-old Norwegian sustained the injury during City's 2-1 FA Cup quarter-final win over Bournemouth on March 30. Since then, Haaland has followed an individual training program but rejoined the first-team group on Wednesday.

So far this season, Haaland has scored 39 goals for both club and country. While his exact return date is unknown, manager Pep Guardiola is expected to address the situation when he speaks to the media on Thursday ahead of City's Premier League match against Wolves on Friday.

In other injury news, midfielder Rodri, 28, has also resumed training with the first team. Rodri has been sidelined since September due to a serious knee injury, specifically a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). He had been seen working individually at the Etihad Campus in late February.

Sources suggest Rodri could return to action during the Club World Cup in June, but he is unlikely to feature in City's remaining Premier League matches or the FA Cup final. Guardiola commented last week, saying, "Every training session he [Rodri] does with us, he does well. Rodri wants to play, but the doctor will have to give the green light."

City currently sit fourth in the Premier League after losing their title to Liverpool following four consecutive wins. They face Wolves on Friday (kick-off 20:00 BST) and will play Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final at Wembley on May 17.

Haaland had been substituted in the 61st minute of the Bournemouth match, where he scored his 30th goal of the season, as City came from behind to win and secure a semi-final match with Nottingham Forest. The striker appeared to injure his ankle after colliding with the advertising boards and was later seen wearing a protective boot and using crutches.
