Fulham have agreed a £27m transfer with Manchester City for winger Oscar Bobb, with sources confirming that a deal between the two clubs has now been finalised.
BBC Sport reported earlier this week that negotiations were nearing completion, and those close to the situation say the attacker is set to make the move to Craven Cottage. As part of the agreement, City will retain a 20% sell on clause and matching rights should Fulham accept a future offer for the player. City have previously used similar rights, most recently when they re signed goalkeeper James Trafford from Burnley after Newcastle also submitted a bid.
Bobb's opportunities at the Etihad have become increasingly limited following the January arrival of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. After City's recent win over Wolves, manager Pep Guardiola acknowledged ongoing discussions surrounding the winger and suggested Bobb was open to leaving in search of more regular football.
The Norway international has made 15 appearances for City this season without scoring and has not played since suffering an injury early in the Carabao Cup match against Brentford on 17 December. He has also attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund, but Fulham have moved quickest to secure his services.
Marco Silva's side are enjoying a strong run of form, having lost just once in their past seven Premier League matches. A 2 1 victory over Brighton at the weekend lifted Fulham to seventh place in the table. Bobb, who has featured six times for Norway this year as they qualified for the World Cup, would link up with international teammate Sander Berge. His progress had previously been disrupted after he missed almost all of last season with a leg fracture suffered in training in August 2024. Fulham have also submitted a £28m bid for PSV Eindhoven striker Ricardo Pepi.
Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling has left Chelsea by mutual consent after agreeing to terminate his contract early. The 31 year old had 18 months remaining on a deal worth £325,000 per week and departs after three and a half seasons at Stamford Bridge following his £47.5m move from Manchester City in 2022.
Chelsea confirmed the decision in a statement, thanking Sterling for his contribution. The England winger made 81 appearances and scored 19 goals but has not played competitively since May 2024. He had been training away from the first team after failing to secure a move last summer, with interest from clubs including Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen. Although Sterling would prefer to remain in London, he is open to opportunities elsewhere as he looks for stability, regular football, and a fresh start to add to a trophy laden career that already includes 13 major honours.
