The 25-year-old Georgia international sustained the injury following a challenge with Barcelona's Xavi Espart. He was unable to put weight on his right leg and was substituted in the 59th minute of the match at Parc des Princes.
PSG have not provided a timeline for his recovery, leaving uncertainty over when the winger will return to competitive action.
Kvaratskhelia addressed the injury in an emotional message shared on Instagram, reflecting on his disappointment and determination to overcome the setback.
"Before every game I play I ask God to leave the field healthy, but in vain," he wrote.
The forward explained that he had prepared extensively for the encounter and believed he was ready for the challenges ahead. Despite the setback, he expressed his willingness to endure the difficult rehabilitation process required to return to full fitness.
"I realise that God chose me and if I protected the players on another field, I'm ready to go through these months of hard work, pain, tears," Kvaratskhelia added.
He also thanked those who have continued to support him, promising to return stronger and make the most of his recovery period.
"I know I have to come back stronger for my people who always have my back. I won't let you down, I promise, I won't waste a second," he said.
The injury is a significant setback for PSG, with Kvaratskhelia having established himself as an important member of the squad since arriving from Napoli in January 2025. The Georgian winger played a key role in the club's European success and has made 11 appearances across competitions this season.
PSG also confirmed that forward Ousmane Dembele and captain Marquinhos will be sidelined for several weeks. Dembele suffered an injury to his left thigh, while Marquinhos sustained a problem with his right thigh.
Despite the injuries, PSG secured an important victory against Barcelona after a closely contested encounter. The two sides were level at 2-2 entering the final 10 minutes before the French champions scored twice to claim all three points.
The result extended PSG's winning start to their Champions League title defence, leaving them at the top of the standings with three victories from three matches.
However, Kvaratskhelia's absence is likely to be a major concern as the club prepares for a demanding run of fixtures across domestic and European competitions.
