Charli D'Amelio is responding to rumors that her parents mishandled her finances, denying that they stole money from her while acknowledging that her family has had things to work through.

The 22-year-old TikTok star addressed the allegations in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, marking her most direct response to speculation about a reported rift with her parents, Marc and Heidi D'Amelio.

Asked whether claims that her parents mishandled her money were true, Charli said, "No, they're not true. I wouldn't say that they stole my money." She paused before adding, "I think we did a lot of things as a family," without elaborating further on what she meant.

The rumors gained traction in May after a post by celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi alleged that Charli had discovered millions of dollars being transferred out of accounts during the years her parents managed her online career. The claims have not been substantiated.

Marc previously denied the allegations in the comments section of the post, writing, "This is not true. We love Charli but she is being manipulated and I have the receipts." He added that the family had remained silent about gossip for six years but that he believed it was time to address the reports.

Speculation about tensions within the family intensified after social media users noticed that Charli and her parents no longer followed one another on Instagram.

Charli also spoke about her relationship with her older sister, fellow social media personality Dixie D'Amelio, emphasizing that their bond remains important to her despite any difficulties.

"I mean, that's my sister. I'm going to love her till the day I die. But there are times where you're figuring stuff out," she said.

The family drama has coincided with changes in Charli's business relationships. In June, she cut ties with Be Happy Snacks, the family's popcorn brand, while her parents remained involved in the business.

Charli had previously hinted at behind-the-scenes tensions during a September appearance on comedian Quenlin Blackwell's YouTube series Feeding Starving Celebrities. While showing Blackwell some of her old merchandise, she was asked how much she had earned from a pair of branded sweatpants.

In her latest interview, Charli also reflected on watching The D'Amelio Show for the first time, describing the experience as "watching something I never lived."
"It's almost as if I'm figuring out what has happened in my life over these last few years. I was so disconnected in so many ways," she said.

Charli explained that the scrutiny surrounding her rise to fame affected how she expressed herself, adding, "It's taken me to now to realize maybe I was dissociating through a lot of it."
