The football world has been left in mourning following the tragic death of Liverpool and Portugal forward Diogo Jota in a car crash at the age of 28. Jota and his younger brother, Andre Silva, were both killed when their vehicle veered off the road in Spain's Zamora province. Reports indicate a tyre burst during an overtaking maneuver, leading to the fatal crash at around 00:30 local time on Thursday.

Manchester United have expressed their intention to host the 2035 Women's World Cup final in a proposed new 100,000-seat stadium. The club revealed plans in March to construct a £2 billion "iconic" venue near Old Trafford, which would become the largest stadium in the United Kingdom. Despite skepticism outside the club, United remain optimistic that co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe's target of completing the project within five to six years is achievable.

The two were travelling in a Lamborghini when the vehicle veered off the A-52 highway near Palacios de Sanabria, reportedly due to a tyre blowout while overtaking, before bursting into flames.

Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti has been sentenced to one year in prison by a Spanish court for tax evasion. However, he will not serve time behind bars. The case relates to his first tenure at Real Madrid between 2013 and 2015, during which he was accused of failing to declare income and evading taxes amounting to 1 million euros (approximately £830,000).
