It is remarkable that anyone would think that Francis Ngannou left the UFC to avoid a showdown with Jon Jones, who will finally return to the octagon.

UFC President Dana White's point of view is that the Cameroonian wanted to fight "weaker competition for more money" and wasn't too interested in facing Jones, although nothing could be further from the truth.

Jake Paul keeps trying to get a more relevant combat sports personality to fight him, he keeps hoosintg his shots against the likes of Canelo or Ryan Garcia. In the most recent attempt, he also kept trying to convince Conor McGregor to fight him in any capacity. Jame Paul really thinks he can beat one of the best MMA fighters of all time inside an octagon. But the Irishman was very clear and dismissive about this new Celebrity Boxing sub-genre. As he attempted to leave New York City, UFC Middleweight Israel Adesanya was detained by the JFK Airport police for possession of brass knuckles. These are considered a weapon and they are completely illegal at any airport in the United States.

When the airport security was checking on Adesanya's luggage, they found the item that 'Izzy' didn't know existed. The story behind what actually happened will surprise more than one but needless to say, Adesanya immediately cooperated with the authorities and the matter was settled.

Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson has passed away today at the age of 38, according to his manager Ali Abdelaziz who informed the media about the situation. The cause of death has not yet been revealed although it is confirmed that it was due to an illness that he'd been fighting for quite some time.
