Conor McGregor is the only UFC star who actually has permission from Dana White to do anything he wants. If he decided he wants to box again, the UFC president wouldn't mind it despite Conor is still binded by a contract. While he returns to the octagon, the Irish star has been making the rounds in multiple combat sports events where his presence is always welcome.

The most recent Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou fight had McGregor as one of the guests ofhonor. During one of the interviews at the event, Heavyweight Derek Chisora approached Conor to push him to agree on a fight against Youtuber KSI. Conor didn't disagree and even analyzed the possibility.

Lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has retained his title with a first-round stoppage of Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 294, an Ultimate Fighting Championship event in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Saturday night fight was a rematch from UFC 284 in February, when Makhachev of Russia won by unanimous decision.

Featherweight champion Volkanovski of Australia, taking the fight on just 11 days’ notice, moved up to the 155-pound (70.3kg) limit to be a replacement for former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, who suffered an injury during training.

This fight did not get past 3:06 of the first round. The 31-year-old Makhachev (25-1-0, five KOs) took down the 35-year-old Volkanovski (26-3, 13 KOs) with a head kick and finished him off with strikes on the ground.

Fighter Conor McGregor underwent drug testing for the first time in two years. The fighter returned to the USADA testing pool, and at the end of his first test, he gave the agents a couple of liquor bottles.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the Irish fighter indicated, "I was tested two separate times yesterday and within an hour of each other. Blood and urine. 3 samples of each were requested and given in both instances."

However, the UFC star also claimed that the agents "boarded my yacht. I welcomed them. I gave them a can of my Forged Irish Stout and a Proper Whiskey. Life is good."
