A rising celebrity has departed the TikTok community. Eva Evans, a prominent figure in New York, passed away. She was the creator and star of the web comedy series Club Rat. Her age was 29. On April 21, her sister Lila made the announcement on social media.
The 27-year-old posted a picture of Eva along with the statement, "Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died." "After 24 hours, i still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so i know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be."
"I wish Eva was here right now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don't," Lily said. You'll hear a lot more from me about how much Eva means to me and how the world will be changed without her. I'm keeping this quick so we can make plans for the next few days."
Lila announced that the family plans to celebrate Eva on Tuesday, 4/23 in lower Manhattan, as shared by Heather Evans, the sisters' mother.
Eva, co-wrote and directed the five-episode series Club Rat, which premiered in 2023 and is available on Amazon Prime Video. Eva plays an influencer who tries to date again in New York City after a viral video of her breakup goes viral. Eva also shared her real life on social media, including her breakup in early March. She recently commented on JoJo Siwa's new look on TikTok and posted a photo of herself in a subway car.
Upon learning of Eva's passing, many friends, co-stars, and fans posted condolences on social media.
Alum Lo Bosworth of The Hills said, "Rest in peace, angel Eva," in response to the late influencer's final Instagram post. "Even when others couldn't be bothered, you were always kind to me. I will always remember your kindness."
