Christina Applegate is disclosing additional information about her medical journey. The Dead to Me actress is talking candidly about how, despite receiving a multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2021, she has managed to manage it in an unexpected way.
Christina said to James Corden, "I find reality television very useful," on the August 8th episode of his SiriusXM program This Life of Mine. That's about it in my opinion.
She also makes no effort to disguise her love for reality TV and related fields.
The 52-year-old went on, "Anyone who knows me well knows that it's on 24/7 in my room." I spend most of my time in my room. I realize that sounds very gloomy, but sometimes I just need to go to sleep. Indeed, reality television.
Christina also doesn't have a preference when it comes to reality TV.
"Everything. Give it all to me," she commanded. "Please give me a [real] housewife, a Vanderpump [rules], a below deck, and even Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay—I'll watch like nine seasons of that in like two days."
The former anchorman went on to discuss how reality TV, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine, helps her manage multiple sclerosis, an autoimmune disease that attacks the central nervous system and reduces the ability for impulses to travel between one's nerves and brain.
"I really enjoy observing the flaws in real people," she said. "It's amazing that those people actually exist. I adore reality TV because it makes me uncomfortable to see people acting that way on the planet.
The Married...With Children alum has previously shared her MS experience in public. She has already discussed the significance of humor in her journey.
She stated, "I make these jokes because if I don't, I'll suffocate," during an Armchair Expert podcast segment with Dax Shepard in March 2024. "I'll be done."
She's obviously not done.
The actress made a joke to the audience during the 2023 Emmys after receiving a standing ovation: "You're totally shaming me with disability by standing up."
