Former NFL player Bobby McCray has filed for divorce from his long-term partner, Khadijah Haqq. This is one year after the “dash doll” alum and the NFL player announced their separation. The pair cited irreconcilable differences as the main reason for their divorce.
“After 13 years of marriage, 16 years together and 4 incredible children, I have come to the intensely difficult conclusion that while Bobby & I have a great deal of love for one other, it's best we move forward separately,” Khadija wrote. She claims that she does not take the divorce lightly, instead, she aims to keep her relationship private.
“ I share this not because I believe it's newsworthy," she continued. "But so that we go about our lives with honesty and to begin the journey of co-parenting. I'm so grateful for my incredible support system!”
Haqq revealed the importance of family to her, back in 2023. “Family is so important to me. Unfortunately, life has brought me to tremendous transition.” Since their separation, Haqq has not further commented on her status with McCray.
During this year's mother's day, Haqq called her four kids her "reasons to live, grow, give grace, learn more, be kind, find higher value, gain greater perspective, cry yet keep trying and love endlessly.” She wrote, “Bobby, Christian, Celine & Kapri it is my honor to be your mother," she added. "With every bit of me I am yours through it ALL.”
The NFL player is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the three children they share. He also wants spousal support from Khadijah Haqq and he is aiming to terminate the court's ability to award her spousal support. The two met in 2010 and immediately started dating.
Haqq and her twin sister, Malika Haqq, are known for being some of Khloé Kardashian’s closest friends. However, they grew up in the public eye, previously starring in the 2005 movie Sky High.
