The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, made her first in-person public appearance in over a month, attending a Sunday service at Crathie Kirk church near the royal family's Balmoral estate in Scotland. Accompanied by Prince William and their eldest son, Prince George, the family was seen arriving by car. This appearance comes after the princess had been undergoing cancer treatment, keeping her largely out of the public eye.
Kate's outfit, consisting of a beige plaid Holland Cooper jacket and a brown fedora adorned with feathers, along with gold earrings, caught attention as she returned to public duties. Notably absent from the outing were the couple's younger children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The royal family was joined at the service by King Charles III, who is also reportedly battling cancer, and Queen Camilla. King Charles was dressed in traditional Scottish tartan, sporting a red and green kilt and a gray blazer. Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, were also in attendance, along with other royal family members.
Kate's last public appearance was in mid-July at Wimbledon, where she attended the men's singles final. Despite her ongoing treatments, the princess appeared radiant and received a standing ovation from the crowd. Just two weeks prior to the church service, she and Prince William released a video message congratulating Team GB on their performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The princess's return to public life has been met with a warm reception, signaling a hopeful recovery and return to her royal duties.
