Catherine, Princess of Wales, has announced the completion of her chemotherapy treatment. In a heartfelt video message released by Kensington Palace, Catherine shared her relief and gratitude, reflecting on the challenging journey she has endured over the past months.

The Princess revealed her diagnosis in March, which led to her stepping back from public duties to focus on her health. In her video message, she described the experience as "incredibly tough" and emphasized how "life as you know it can change in an instant." This period has been marked by both physical and emotional challenges.

Catherine's message was filmed in Norfolk. She expressed her profound relief at completing chemotherapy, stating, "As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment."

Throughout her treatment, Catherine has drawn strength from her family and the natural world around her. She spoke of the "stormy waters" she faced, describing the cancer journey as "complex, scary, and unpredictable."

The Princess also acknowledged the support of her husband, Prince William, and their children, who have been a source of comfort and strength. She noted, "This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved."

Looking ahead, Catherine plans to gradually resume her public duties. She mentioned her intention to participate in a few engagements later this year, including the annual Remembrance service at the Cenotaph and her Christmas carol concert. However, she emphasized that her path to full recovery is ongoing, stating, "My path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes."

She concluded her message with a note of optimism, saying, "Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life."
