Grammy-nominated singer Lana Del Rey has taken a significant step in her relationship with alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene. The couple obtained a marriage license on September 23, 2024, in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, as confirmed by the local Clerk of Court.

This development comes just weeks after the pair made their public debut at model Karen Elson's star-studded wedding in New York City. The event, which saw attendees like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, marked a pivotal moment in Del Rey and Dufrene's relationship.

The couple's history dates back to 2019 when Del Rey first encountered Dufrene during a visit to Louisiana. At the time, she shared photos on social media, captioning one image, "Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur's Air Boat Tours." However, romance didn't bloom immediately, as both were involved in other relationships.

Fast forward to May 2024, when Del Rey returned to Louisiana for a performance at Hangout Fest. A source close to the situation revealed to People magazine, "When Lana revisited the area, they were both single and reconnected. He saw his golden opportunity and asked her out."

Dufrene, a father of two, runs a successful airboat tour business in Des Allemands, Louisiana. His company, Arthur's Airboat Tours, offers visitors intimate experiences with local wildlife, including alligators and various bird species.

The relationship has progressed rapidly since going public. In August, a TikTok user captured footage of the couple holding hands at the Leeds Festival in England, where Del Rey was headlining. This sighting fueled speculation about their romance.

Interestingly, some fans have drawn parallels between Del Rey's current relationship and lyrics from her 2012 song "Cola," suggesting the singer may have long held an attraction to men like Dufrene.

Despite initial concerns from Del Rey's inner circle about the whirlwind nature of the relationship, sources indicate that Dufrene has won over skeptics. "Her friends and team did some digging on him over fears he could be using her, but his business is lucrative and he doesn't need or want Lana's money," an insider told TMZ.

The couple now has 30 days from the date of obtaining their license to officially tie the knot. As of now, representatives for Del Rey have not commented on the marriage license or potential wedding plans.

As fans eagerly await further developments, it seems Lana Del Rey may soon be trading her "Summertime Sadness" for wedded bliss.
