Selena Gomez, 32, embraced classic Hollywood elegance at her Rare Impact Fund Benefit held at nya Studios West in Los Angeles on Thursday, October 24. The actress turned heads in a black mini-dress featuring a semi-strapless design, one exposed shoulder, and a chic off-the-shoulder layered look on the other. The dress's asymmetric ruffled train added drama, and Gomez completed the look with black pumps.

Gomez's wavy, shoulder-length bob, parted down the center, added sophistication to her red-carpet style. Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, the Disney alum shared the importance of the event to her. "This is probably the most meaningful thing I do," Gomez explained. "We've created a community through Rare, and it's amazing to help people feel less alone—that's always been our aim."

Gomez also shared advice on mental health, emphasizing, "Try not to isolate. Alone time is necessary, but isolating can keep emotions bottled up. Finding even one person you trust to open up to can make a big difference."

The annual event aims to "raise awareness and support for youth mental health globally." Funds raised help the Rare Impact Fund expand access to mental health resources for young people. The Rare Impact Fund, part of her Rare Beauty brand, donates 1% of all product sales to support youth mental health.

On her Emilia Pérez press tour, Gomez has been showcasing show-stopping looks. Just days earlier, she wowed in an all-black Elie Saab gown at the L.A. premiere, complete with black-leather gloves, diamond earrings, a slicked-back bun, and smokey eyes. Earlier this month, Gomez wore a striking red Oscar de la Renta gown in London and partnered with Sephora for the "Make a Rare Impact" campaign, donating all Rare Beauty sales on World Mental Health Day to the Rare Impact Fund.
