Sebastian Kidder, the 24-year-old stepson of wrestling legend Ric Flair, died by suicide on October 26, 2024, at his family's residence in Georgia. Sebastian's mother, Wendy Barlow, offered a confirmation of the tragic news to several media outlets.

"I am devastated and shocked," Barlow stated to TMZ on October 27. "This is an epidemic with young men and mental health." Local authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, which occurred from a gunshot wound at the family's Georgia home.

Kidder, who performed professionally under the mononym Sebastian, had recently embarked on a promising music career. In June 2024, he released his debut album "Under the Moon," drawing inspiration from diverse influences including Aerosmith, Maroon 5, and Michael Jackson. During his final interview with Good Day Atlanta, Kidder spoke passionately about his artistic journey: "I fell in love with it, and here I am. You have to let go of everything else and make this your whole world."

Prior to his music career, Kidder had established himself in the entertainment industry as a child actor, notably appearing in "The Walking Dead." In a June interview, he offered unique insights into his unusual upbringing as Ric Flair's stepson, recalling experiences like "having Post Malone coming over to the house" and Darius Rucker arriving "with his big tour bus."

The tragedy marks another profound loss for the Flair family, coming 11 years after the death of Ric Flair's son Reid Flair at age 25 in 2013. Kidder shared his final social media post hours before his death – an image of himself in a recording studio, guitar in hand, bathed in purple light.

Barlow and Flair, who separated in September after a 13-year relationship, had both publicly supported Kidder's musical endeavors. Flair promoted his stepson's debut music video on Instagram in June, while Barlow expressed pride in her son's artistic pursuits during his 24th birthday celebration in July.
