During an interview for the December issue of British Vogue, music superstar SZA got real about her decision to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure last year. While the "Good Days" singer says she's happy with the results, she admitted that the cosmetic surgery "just wasn't super necessary."

SZA, whose real name is Solána Imani Rowe, told Vogue that she decided to get a BBL in 2022 after struggling to see results from working out. "I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so stupid," the 35-year-old said.

A BBL is a popular cosmetic procedure that involves transferring fat from one area of the body, like the abdomen or thighs, and injecting it into the buttocks to create a more lifted, fuller shape. While SZA acknowledged that it "doesn't matter" that she got the procedure, she admitted, "I'm so mad I did that s--t."

"You got a BBL, you realize you didn't need the s--t," she continued. "It just wasn't super necessary—I have other s--t that I need to work on about myself... I need to get my f--king mental health together."

However, the Grammy-winning artist was quick to clarify that she still loves the results of her BBL. "I love my butt. Don't get me wrong. My booty look nice. And I'm grateful that it looks pretty much...I don't know, sometimes natural, but I don't even care. It's something that I wanted. I'm enjoying it. I love shaking it."

In fact, SZA said she's open to undergoing more cosmetic procedures in the future. "I'll do a whole bunch more s--t just like it if I want to before I'm f--king dead because this body is temporary," she shared.

This isn't the first time SZA has been transparent about her cosmetic enhancements. Earlier this year, she revealed on the SHE MD podcast that she had her breast implants removed due to cancer concerns.

Despite her mixed feelings, SZA's candid comments about her BBL experience highlight the complex relationship many individuals have with cosmetic procedures. While she may have initially felt it was "unnecessary," the singer ultimately stands by the results and her right to make choices about her own body.

As SZA said, "It doesn't matter" - the important thing is that she's comfortable in her own skin, mental health and all.
